3D printing is where I get to turn whatever is stuck in my head into something I can actually hold. I make fidget toys, shiny little objects in silk PLA, parts for Halloween builds, and prototypes for whatever project I happen to be working on next.

It also gives me a reason to keep improving my 3D modeling and design skills. I can go from an idea, to CAD, to a physical object, find everything I got wrong, change it, and print another one.

And because watching something slowly materialize layer by layer is strangely satisfying, a lot of it ends up becoming social media content too.

Things to fidget with

Mechanical toys, articulated objects and satisfying little mechanisms.

Things for Halloween

Props, mounts, mechanisms, enclosures and unusual pieces that are much easier to print than fabricate by hand.

Things that probably didn't need to be shiny

Silk PLA exists. I have a printer. This outcome was inevitable.

Things that need to exist before I know if they'll work

Prototypes, fixtures, housings and quick physical tests that turn CAD assumptions into something real.
